Fixed Arch Length: Pendulum

The Pendulum expanders provide both distalization and rotation of the maxillary first molars with .032 TMA® wire. A midline expansion screw can be added for arch development. The design includes upper first molar bands with bands or rests placed on the first bicuspids.

Pendulum

An .032 wire provides light forces to distalize and rotate upper first molars. A Nance button provides anchorage.

Pendex

Upper arch development along with molar distalization is gained by adding an expansion screw in the acrylic.

Snodgrass

This appliance is used for maxillary arch expansion and molar distalization. A Hyrax expansion screw is used to first develop the maxillary arch. Once transverse movement is gained, the preactivated .032 TMA® wires are trimmed loose for molar rotation and distalization.
