Attachment Placement

STEP 1

Use composite of choice (paste or flowable) fill the attachment windows in template.  Do not leave any voids.  Place templates back in bag or under a UV cover until patient is fully prepped.

STEP 2

Isolate teeth receiving attachments, maintaining a dry field, then etch and prime.

STEP 3

Seat pre-filled attachment template, ensuring template is flush against incisal edges, light cure each attachment window.

 

STEP 4

Remove attachment template and floss contacts. Remove any excess flashing from attachments with a scaler or bur.    

STEP 5

Seat aligners. Ensure attachments on teeth engage attachment windows on the aligners.

 

Attachment Placement

Remove attachments using a tungsten carbide bur.
