The SmartJet appliance continues to set the standard for advanced, user-friendly design, combining efficiency, comfort, and versatility. Engineered to make complex adjustments straightforward, the appliance features two innovative mechanisms that work in perfect harmony.
The larger anterior mechanism, known as the SmartStop, includes a precision-engineered set screw. This set screw locks securely into place after adjustments, allowing for precise customization and ensuring the appliance functions seamlessly in a variety of treatment scenarios (Figure 1).

One of the standout features of the SmartJet is its unique capability to facilitate molar mesialization. By simply sliding the SmartStop mechanism forward, clinicians can reposition a molar with precision, pulling it into the desired location with ease (Figure 2). This level of adaptability makes the SmartJet an invaluable tool in addressing a wide range of orthodontic challenges.
Complementing this is the smaller SmartGuide mechanism, which threads directly onto the coil spring for added stability and secure positioning. The SmartGuide is designed to effortlessly integrate with the exclusive Z clip, creating a dependable connection to the lingual sheath and eliminating concerns about misalignment or displacement.
At the heart of the appliance’s functionality is the super-elastic nickel titanium spring, which delivers a consistent 200 grams of force for reliable and predictable results. Its ability to glide smoothly along the wire without friction ensures continuous, even force application, enhancing treatment outcomes and patient comfort.
